The Lion In Winter

Good Company Players will present James Goldman's battle royal, THE LION IN
WINTER, at their 2nd Space Theatre through June 17.

 A wonderfully theatrical play, THE LION IN WINTER combines wit, drama and
exciting history in equal parts.  The setting is the holiday season where an
uneasy truce has been reached between King Henry II of England and his
estranged Queen, Eleanor.

The reunion also includes their three sons, all with claims to inherit the
throne when Henry is gone. Mix in Henry's mistress and her brother (who
happens to be the King of France), and marital and political battle - fought
with Goldman's brilliant words - is inevitable.

The Cast

The well-matched adversaries Henry and Eleanor are played by Paddy Myers and
Laurie Pessano; their sons are played by Andrew Cardillo, Sam Laakso and
Eric Tiller.

Heather Price portrays the French princess, Alais, and France's King Phillip
is played by Samuel Frank. The director of THE LION IN WINTER is Julie
Lucido.

Showtimes & Prices
LION plays at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, 8:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 2
p.m. on Sunday. Ticket prices for all performances are $15.00 general
admission, with a student/senior rate of $14.00.

     Mini-Season Tickets for THE LION IN WINTER, SHAKESPEARE IN HOLLYWOOD
and THE MIRACLE WORKER are still available for $39.00 a person.
