 A Day with the Artist
Come join us on Saturday, March 17, from 11 AM-5 PM for our monthly “Day
with the Artist”.  February’s featured artist is Ceramist A.J. Castelo.
Adrian draws inspiration from the floral forms painted by Georgia O'Keeffe,
and by the eccentric pottery of Mississippi master potter George Ohr.  His
most striking works include hand-molded vases and teapots constructed with
delicate leaf-like elements, wrapped like layers of an onion around a solid
body.  While many of Castelo's pieces are functional, his more elaborate
works are best suited for display.



Adrian will be working with clay and Raku Firing at the gallery on -

Saturday, March 17, from 11 AM-5 PM

Adrian will also be demonstrating hand building techniques on -

 Sunday, March 11, from 11 AM-5 PM, and

      About  “A Day with the Artist”
      “A Day with the Artist” showcases one of the artists we represent.
Featured artists demonstrate their work throughout the day, discuss
techniques, and visit with interested visitors and clients.

       “A Day with the Artist” is coordinated with Stellar Gallery’s monthly
featured Sierra Art Trails artist, so visitors have a chance to visit with
more than one artist on the same day. Please join us!  Stay tuned to our
monthly press releases or visit our web site for our monthly schedule.

Portrait artist Mary Jane Brewster will be demonstrating acrylic painting at
the gallery on -

Sunday March 11th - 11 AM to 5 PM   and

Wednesday March 28th - 11 AM to 5 PM

 Come by to watch her work, or to learn some tips and tricks painting with
acrylics. If you want to bring your paints and easel, please join us!
