The Fresno Falcons have announced that the Fresno Fuego Soccer Club of the
USL's Premier  Development League have added Falcons All Star Luke Curtin to
the Celebrity Roster for the Fuego's half time Celebrity Penalty Kick
Shootout on May 11th.  Luke will join Fresno County Supervisor Henry Perea,
Dr. Robin Smit of Eye Q Vision Care and several other area celebrities for
this event. 

Fresno Fuego head coach Scott Alcorn and the Fuego will play their PDL home
opener on Friday, May 11th at 7:30pm at Chukchansi Park when the Fuego will
battle the Los Angeles Storm.  This will be the first of eight home matches
played at Chukchansi Park in downtown Fresno.The gates open at 6:30pm on May
11 with live music in the Tecate Cantina.  All Kids 12 and younger are
welcome to march on the field during the Opening Night Pre-Game Youth Fan
Parade led by Fuego mascot Scorcher. 

The May 11th Opening Night Half Time Entertainment will feature the Second
Annual Fresno Fuego Half Time Celebrity Penalty Kick (PK) Shootout. Former
professional soccer goaltender/former Fuego general partner Francisco
Alvarez will challenge several local media, corporate and community
celebrities to score on him. Each celebrity will be playing for a fan in
attendance and Fuego prizes will be given away to those who score.  Fresno
Falcons All Star Luke Curtin will participate in the Half Time PK Shootout
and try to win prizes for a lucky Falcons Fan. FALCONS FANS CAN SAVE $ 2 PER
SEAT AND PURCHASE $ 7 TICKETS FOR THE MAY 11 FUEGO HOME OPENER BY CALLING
THE FRESNO FALCONS FRONT OFFICE AT  559-485-PUCK, OR BY STOPPING BY AND
PURCHASING THE TICKETS AT THE FALCONS OFFICE AT THE SAVE MART CENTER.  See
below the preliminary list of Celebrity strikers slated to join Luke Curtin
for the Half Time PK Shootout! There will be several other participants
named by weeks end. 

The Fresno Fuego will also be honoring all healthcare employees at the May
11th opener at Chukchansi Park. In celebration of National Healthcare Week,
National Nurses Week, and National Hospitals Week, the Fuego will be giving
away prizes all game long to health care employees. Healthcare employee
groups or organizations may purchase group rate $ 7.00 tickets for this game
by calling the Falcons front office at 559-485-PUCK!  Fuego tickets are also
on sale at Chukchansi Park or by calling 320-TIXS.

Opening Night on May 11th with the Fuego will conclude with a Spectacular
Fireworks Show followed by a free autograph session with the Fuego players.
