Rogue Year Round - September 2007
Theatre Ventoux Presents ROGUE YEAR ROUND September 28 and 30
Theatre Ventoux is proud to sponsor two evenings of entertainment you
won't want to miss!
On Friday, September 28 at Ashtree, 1035 N. Fulton, enjoy an evening
of Celtic music followed by one of the hottest acts currently on the
International Fringe circuit. Fresnos own Pipe on the Hob will
perform their eclectic blend of Irish and Scottish music.
Following Pipe on the Hob...
Steven Karwoski, fresh from a stellar run at the San Francisco Fringe
Festival, chronicles his life in the dating world in the hilarious
Are Ya Dating II. The show that began it's life right here and was
the stand-out hit at the Edmonton Fringe Festival returns... as a
PREMIERE of it's completed second half! You can say you saw it here
first.
Admission is $10. Doors open at 6:30, show starts at 7:00. No
latecomers will be admitted after intermission. This evening is rated
PG.
On Sunday, September 30, come down to the Starline, 831 E. Fern, to
see two of the most popular shows of Rogue 2007.
The evening will begin with the captivating Tanjora, Fresnos first
Tribal Belly dance troupe, performing the improvisational formats of
Tribal Fusion and American Tribal Style to both traditional and
modern music. Come to this hypnotic and visually stunning show!
Following Tanjora, Barry Smith returns to the Starline stage with his
award winning Jesus in Montana: Adventures in a Doomsday Cult.
This autobiographical, multi-media show, which was a sell-out at
Rogue 2007, ponders the humorous side of faith, beliefs and everyday
cult life, as told from the perspective of a disillusioned dishwasher
in Aspen Colorado. Barry returns from a triumphant tour of 9 fringe
festivals across the US and Canada where this show played to sold out
houses and reaped several "best of" awards! If you missed this at
Rogue 2007... you owe it to yourself to see it this Sunday!
Admission is $10. Doors open at 6:00, show stars at 6:30. No
latecomers will be admitted after intermission. This
evening is rated PG-13.
