[FAC] Downtown Fresno Mayoral Candidates Forum tomorrow

Tomorrow evening, Wednesday, April 2, the candidates for Mayor of Fresno
will participate in what promises to be a lively and informative debate
about our Downtown. As chair of this event's host committee, I wanted to
make sure you received an invitation. Open at 5pm in the historic Bankers
Ballroom at 1060 Fulton Mall in Downtown Fresno. Admission is free and light
refreshments will be served. Jim Tucker, the popular host of KVPT Channel
18's "Valley Press," will moderate.

This forum and its twin next week, Wednesday, April 9, for City Council
candidates are the joint effort of seven community organizations. A "pool"
of 21 possible questions was developed with input from the public, and
provided to the candidates in advance. Questions will be chosen randomly
from this list to be asked live at the forums. For more information and to

This forum is designed to help voters who (a)consider Downtown
revitalization a priority for our city, and (b) want to know the plans and
ideas of the next city leaders for this area.  If that describes you, I hope
you'll join us on these two Wednesdays. Other equally valid reasons to
attend include sympathy, moral support, and volunteer assistance! If it
turns out you can't make it in person tomorrow, look for video and audio
