Anyone who plans to pursue finding from the CA Arts Council who has money
to give to the arts and want to give it to the Central Valley [really], or
anyone wanting to apply for funding from the James Irvine Foundation, MUST
apply online through the California CDP.

The James Irvine Foundation is one of the key funders for the CA Cultural
Database Project (California CDP) and next week, on Tuesday, 4/15 at 10 am
there is a training at the Fresno Art Museum. Problem is, hardly anyone
from the Central Valley is signed up. In northern CA and the Bay area, LA
and San Diego the training sessions are filled to capacity. We¹re wondering
why folks here have not yet registered.

John McGuirk and the James Irvine Foundation are working hard behind the
scenes to get more funding for the cultural arts and the California CDP will
not only allow you to apply for funds, it will provide a key tool for
advocating for the valley.

PLEASE, consider arranging your schedule and coming to the training next
week. If you can¹t come, please let me know why so we can discover what we
need to do to make this work for you and your organizations.
