[FAC] CALL FOR ARTISTS

The Department of Children and Family Services is bringing the Heart Gallery
to Fresno County as a means of matching harder-to-place youth to adoptive
families through photography.  Fresno is one of the latest communities to
use pictures to place children, who are in the child welfare system due to
abuse and neglect.  The Heart Gallery is a mobile and public display of
portraits of children in need of a 'forever family.'  It began in New
Mexico in 2001, and is working its way across the country with sites in over
45 states and 60 cities.  To make the gallery a reality, DCFS needs
volunteers, sponsors, and sites ~ essentially people with a passion for
taking pictures and for making a positive difference in the life of a child.
