[FAC] ArtHop Alchemy and Robb Weibel

I do hope everyone has had a chance to read Felicia Matlosz's fine article in "7" Friday on Robert Weibel's gunpowder drawings. We are so lucky to have him here in town - there may be others doing this art form in the world besides Cai Guo-Qiang, but I have heard of no other besides Robb. If you missed it, check out the web article which shows a marvelous photo of Robb's fingers seemingly igniting the art. John Walker took a great photo!

My main purpose in writing to all of you is not just to promote Robb's art, but to let you know he has a large gunpowder drawing in the Alchemy show opening at Gallery 25 at ArtHop. Be sure one of your stops on Thursday is to see this piece and have  a chance to talk with the artist.

There will be a number of artists there as well to greet you. This is a show you don't want to miss. And there is a commemorative catalog available at the door.
