Equally renowned as a conductor and teacher, 
"Leon Fleisher's playing is wonderfully 
authoritative - life-enhancing on many levels" 
(The Guardian, London). Student of the great 
Arthur Schnabel, he was the first American to win 
the prestigious Queen Elizabeth of Belgium 
Competition in 1952. Together with Carnegie Hall, 
the Boston Symphony, and the Lucerne Festival, 
among many others worldwide, Fresno joins the 
celebrations of his 80th year and his gift to 
music.
