[FAC] ART: Armenian Consul General at HyeFest on Fulton Mall this Friday, June 5 at 6:30pm & Sat., June 6

It is an honor to inform you that the Los Angeles-based Consul General of
the Republic of Armenia, Grigor Hovhannissian, will be providing the
official welcome at this weekend's Fresno HyeFest, a celebration of Armenian
food and culture on the Fulton Mall.  Welcoming remarks by the Consul
General and Mayor Swearengin are scheduled for Friday, June 5 at 6:30 p.m.
Fresno HyeFest runs from 5 to 11 p.m. on Friday and from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
on Saturday, at the corner of Mariposa and the Fulton Mall.  The festival
features delicious Armenian food, top-notch entertainers from Fresno and
around the state, and unique events such as a competitive tavli (backgammon)
tournament and Saroyan-inspired Downtown bike ride on Saturday.  HyeFest
2009 is the first in what is expected to become an annual celebration of
Armenian life in the Valley.
