This Saturday, October 31, the exhibition we have been waiting for, The
Art of Dr. Seuss - A Retrospective Exhibition
<http://www.fresnomet.org/seuss.html> , opens with a Seuss-ified
celebration Friday evening and half priced admission for all children in
Halloween costumes Saturday.

This weekend marks the beginning of Seuss' stay at the Met which ends on
January 17, 2010. The exhibition celebrates the art and life of Theodor
Seuss Geisel (Dr. Seuss) and the common artistic links found throughout
his nearly 70 years of creativity.

The exhibition will include various works from his 44 children's books,
over 400 World War II political cartoons, hundreds of advertisements and
countless editorials. To complement Seuss's obscurity and creativity, an
exhibit of unorthodox taxidermy will be displayed which includes three
dimensional bronze sculptures with names like the "Two Horned
Drouberhannis" and the "Mulberry Unicorn." A special display of "Secret
Art" will also be on exhibit.
