Homelessness in Fresno: The Art, the Experience, the Solution



The St. Paul Newman Center Peace and Justice Ministry present *Homelessness
in Fresno: The Art, the Experience, the Solution*, Thursday, January 28,
2010.  The free event will include two short films, *Homeless Dog* and *Hotel
Fresno* by Teresa Flores and Dixie Salazar, along with a photographic
exhibition of Salazar’s visit to the Fresno homeless encampments.  Following
the films, there will be a discussion with members of Fresno’s homeless
community and a report on the Kincaid Community Center for the Homeless by
Mike Rhodes, publisher of the Community Alliance.   The event will be
concluded with a discussion on the city and county’s 10-year plan to end
homelessness with Gregory Barfield, the City of Fresno Homelessness
Prevention and Policy Manager.
